In this decision making graphic organiser, numbers are used to describe the importance of the criteria for authentic assessment. Number 3 represents very important, 1 represents little importance, and 2 represents in between 3 and 1. The criteria are numbered on their importance for authentic assessment. There are three alternatives/choices of assessment pieces which are similar in topic but incorporates different styles of assessing. Each alternative is given a number from 0-3. The scoring is the same as the scoring of the importance of criteria. Each alternative is scored depending on if it meets the posed criteria. These scores are multiplied by the number of each criterion and then added up to calculate a total.
It is evident through the totals that the research assessment on the Australian Bush, conducted in a native bush context is the most authentic assessment as it received the highest total of score.
